The business and affairs of the Islip Public Library are governed by a five-member Board of Trustees, who are elected by the voters of the Islip Union Free School District for a term of five years.

Board of Trustees Meetings
The Board of Trustees usually meets the second Thursday of every month at 6:30 pm except in August, when there is no scheduled meeting. Please call the Library to confirm an upcoming meeting before attending to ensure that a meeting date or time has not been changed.
